The Third Annual Pasadena International Film Festival – March 2-10, 2016

The Pasadena International Film Festival, ( PIFF), celebrates its third year of screening ground-breaking, world class independent films March 2-10, 2016. Held once again at the always friendly, independent-film-dedicated, Laemmle Playhouse 7; located in the heart of the historic Pasadena Playhouse District. This year’s festivities will include several panels hosted by Vorman’s Bookstore, steps away from the Theater, on Sunday, March 6th. Festival panels will include: “The Future of Screenwriting,” sponsored by the Scriptwriters Network and “Women in Entertainment,” moderated by LA Weekly’s Jessica Ogilvie; presentations include a showcase of vintage cameras by three-time Emmy Award Winner Mark Kirkland.

The Festival Screenings will run continually daily at the Leammle Playhouse 7 and will feature all genre of independent films, including some family-friendly fair and animated shorts. Many screenings will include post viewing parties at local bistros and restaurants such as: The White Horse Lounge, edwhite + bluezz, Madeline Garden Bistro, Vertical Wine Bistro, Paul Martin’s American Grill, and Du-Par’s Restaurant and Bakery; all located in the Playhouse District area.

Special guest this year include: Amber Benson, Michael Gross, Clare kramer, James Masters, Mike McGill, Andy Peeke, Kathleen Quinlan, Paula Jai Parker and John Savage as well as Former Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard.

Closing Night Celebration, Thursday March 10, will be held a short distance away in nearby Old Pasadena at The Speakeasy, known for its 1920s dark cocktail lounge vibe, complete with a hidden entrance and secret password for entry; perfect Noir. Don’t miss it.
