“Dances With Films XIX”, continues to lead in the art of independent filmmaking. As this year’s logline states, DWF’s code of ethics actually reflects their long-standing dedication to preserving purity in independent filmmaking.  It is no wonder that those in the know cherish Dances With Films as the essential festival in which to view and discover new artists in a safe and professional environment.

Because of this pledge to the budding independent filmmaker, Dances With Films has grown exponentially.  From renting a theater for one night only and screening fellow filmmakers films that didn’t make the cut in other festivals, to this year’s blockbuster lineup hosting one hundred and seventeen features, documentaries, and shorts, nineteen years later, over a seven-day film festival.  Many of which are world premieres and several are the products of returning successful DWF alums.  Dances With Films was also once again hosted by the beautiful TLC Chinese Theaters in the heart of Hollywood, California   Here are a few of this year’s top Award Winners:

OVERALL AUDIENCE AWARD | FEST SHORTS: KILLER FRIENDS – Dir: Zach Noe Towers &Tina Carbone
